The same preparation and finishes as our interior and exterior jobs, planned and priced as one.

Inside: filling, sanding, caulking and stain-blocking. Outside: a fungicidal wash, crack repair, timber repair and priming. Nothing is painted before it is ready.

What affects the cost of painting a whole house
A whole-house quote is the interior and the exterior worked out together, after we have seen both.

Size and scope
The number of rooms and walls, ceiling heights, and how much woodwork, stairs and joinery are included.

Condition
Cracks, stains, new plaster, flaking render and rotten timber all add preparation, and preparation is where most of the hours go.

Access
High stairwells inside and two- or three-storey walls outside may need a tower or scaffolding, agreed with you before we start.

Colour changes
Big changes from dark to light, inside or out, can need an extra coat or a primer.

Should I paint the inside or the outside of the house first?
Whichever the weather allows. Outside work needs dry, mild days, so it is planned for late spring to early autumn, while the inside can be painted at any time of year. Repairs that affect both, such as rotten window frames, are done first.
Can we live in the house while it is painted?
Yes. We work room by room so the rest of the house stays usable, and we do a full clean-up every evening.
Will there be a mess left behind?
We treat your home with respect. Furniture and floors are covered with protective sheeting, the outside is masked before any washing or painting, and the site is cleaned up every evening.
How do I know the finish will last?
We don’t cut corners on materials. We use trade paints suited to each surface and a strict multi-stage process (clean, repair, prime, two finish coats), so the finish holds up against moisture and UV.
Is the process complicated to manage?
No. From the colour consultation to the final walkthrough you have a single point of contact, and we manage the timelines and the logistics so you don’t have to.
Do you paint houses before a sale or a new tenancy?
Yes. Fresh, neutral walls inside and a clean exterior are often the first jobs on the list before a house is listed or let, and we can plan them around your dates.
